Welcome!

You are here because you probably received an email from me about your site being hackable in some way.
First, www.ecommercetemplates.com is NOT responsible for  this security issue. They expressly indicate a possible problem in several places warning purchasers on checking their system.
The problem is caused by the person setting up the site to begin with or permissions being changed on the file at some point..
No, I am NOT trying to sell you anything.  I am simply offering you the fix below..

   Why am I doing this?
My website was hacked on or about 5/15/06. The person changed my paypal address for orders to: Kupu2003@Yahoo.com
I was able to fix this easily; however, I didn't know how they did it. Searching the net was almost useless. Finally, I figured out what they did and how. I secured my site, and started wondering how many more were hackable and started searching. I have found MANY and emailed those sites to get them to fix it.

   How to fix it!
There are a couple of ways to fix this problem.
1) The more complicated way is to change the permissions to the file to be secure, but most people reading this will not know how to do that.
2) The easiest way is to change the name of the database from the default of vsproducts.mdb to something else. Then, change the db_conn_open.asp file located in /vsadmin to point to the correct file.
